HARRISON TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES MEETING
March 3, 2015
REGULAR MEETING CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Keith Peters called the Trustee Regular Meeting of March 3, 2015 to order at 7:00pm at the Harrison Township Building, 2746 Weigand Road, Lockbourne, Ohio. Attending were Trustee Keith Peters, Trustee Paul Welsh, Fiscal Officer MaryAnn Elliott, Fire Chief Eric Edgington, Zoning Inspector Joe DeFelice and Road/Cemetery Superintendent Kevin Hulse. Ryan Scribner from P3 and JP Elliott were also present. Trustee Doug Clark was absent.
HEARING OF VISITORS:
Ryan Scribner from Pickaway Progress Partnership was present to update the Trustees on new development within the JEDD and things he has been working on. New businesses are moving to the area and there are many inquiries from those interested in building in this area. The Fire Chief and Trustees inquired as to the possibility of receiving some funds for the fire department from these new tax abated businesses.
ZONING INSPECTOR: Nothing to report.
- Kevin presented his Doctor’s release to return to work without restrictions.
FIRE CHIEF’S REPORT:
- The Fire Chief asked if one of the Trustees would attend the BWC Safety Council Banquet on March 10th representing the Trustee Board. Mr. Peters will attend with the Chief.
- The meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, will be rescheduled for Tuesday, March 24 at 7pm. Mr. Welsh made the motion to change the meeting date to March 24th and Mr. Peters seconded the motion. All were in favor. Notices will be posted and sent to the Circleville Herald.
ACTION ON MINUTES:
February 17, 2015 Regular meeting: Mr. Welsh moved and Mr. Peters seconded a motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of February 17, 2015 and the Trustees voted with two yes votes. Motion carried.
February 25, 2015 Special Meeting: Mr. Welsh moved and Mr. Peters seconded a motion to approve the minutes of the special meeting of February 25, 2015 and the Trustees voted with two yes votes. Motion carried.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT:
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND PAY THE ATTACHED LIST OF BILLS AS THE LAWFUL OBLIGATIONS OF HARRISON TOWNSHIP. Mr. Welsh moved and Mr. Peters seconded and the Trustees voted with two yes votes to approve R15-19.
With no further comments and all scheduled matters attended to, Mr. Welsh moved and Mr. Peters seconded the motion to adjourn the March 3, 2015 Board of Trustee Meeting. All were in favor and the meeting was adjourned at 8:05pm.
