HARRISON TOWNSHIP ZONING APPEALS BOARD

MEETING MINUTES

July 8, 2019

The Harrison Township Zoning Appeals Board held their regularly scheduled, quarterly meeting at the Harrison Township building, 2746 Weigand Road, Lockbourne, OH  43137 at 6:00pm on Monday, July 8, 2019.

Leah Black, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 6:00pm.

Present were:  Leah Black, Peg Egbert, Frank Miles, Kenny Cookson, Debi Hulse and Dale Hoover.  Absent was Buck Spangler.

Debi Hulse, Secretary, read the minutes for the April 8m 2019 meeting,  Kenny moved to accept these minutes, Frank Miles 2nd the motion.  The minutes were approved as read.  Debi Hulse read the minutes for the 2 hearings held on April 15, 2019.  Debi read the minutes from Hearing #1.  Peg Egbert moved to accept these minutes as read.  Kenny Cookson 2nd the motion.  The minutes were approved as read.  Hearing #2 minutes were read by Debi Hulse.  Peg Egbert moved to accept these minutes are read.  Frank Miles 2nd this motion.  These minutes were accepted as read.

NEW BUSINESS:

The Zoning Appeals Board has a hearing scheduled for next Monday July 15, 2019 at 7:00pm.  Leah Black, Chairman, handed each member a copy of the application.  Amazon has applied for a variance to exceed the maximum size for signage.  Dale Hoover, Zoning Inspector, stated that the Zoning Commission will be examining the regulations next meeting.  This regulation will be examined for possible increase in size to accommodate the large warehouses in our township.

OLD BUSINESS:

Dale Hoover, Zoning Inspector, gave an update on the property on SR 752 which needs cleaned up.  Dale Hoover met with Jayme Fountain at The Pickaway County Prosecutor’s Office.  Jayme wrote the property owner a letter.  There has been no response.  The matter is now in the hands of the Prosecutor’s Office.

The next regularly scheduled, quarterly meeting will be Monday, October 14, 2019 at 7:00pm.  The Zoning Appeals Board was a hearing scheduled for next Monday, July 15, 2019 at 7:00pm.

Peg Egbert moved to adjourn the meeting.  Kenny Cookson 2nd the motion.  Meeting adjourned.
